Men Supporting Men -The group is now permanently closed, after 15 years of fun, challenging, rewarding, voluntary support for men.
“What I see here, what I hear here, what others do here, when I leave here, it will stay here.”
Confidentiality, as defined by MSM members, means never discussing, without direct consent, the circumstances of another group member. It means we do not share another persons´ information, stories or actions with others unless expressly permitted to do so.
Personal sharing is important to self-help and an environment of trust and safety allows group participants to share more openly and deeply with others and the group. Â People must feel that information will be kept confidential before they can safely share their stories or ask for help.
Confidentiality = Trust
Trust = Personal Sharing
Personal Sharing = Emotional growth, maturation and a more fulfilling life.
A persons´ story, emotions and beliefs are theirs alone to own and share.
All participants agree to confidentiality for all that is said and done at meetings. It is not permissible to tell anyone outside the group, or any group member who did not attend on a given night, any details about who attended or what was said or what processes were undertaken in any way that would identify the individual.
